CLEVELAND, Ohio --
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland has been cleared to resume basketball activities after missing six weeks with a fractured jaw, the team announced Tuesday.
Garland suffered the injury on December 16th in a game against the Golden State Warriors. He underwent surgery to repair the fracture and has been sidelined ever since.
The 22-year-old is averaging 19.9 points and 8.2 assists per game this season. He is a key part of the Cavaliers' success, who are currently third in the Eastern Conference with a 29-17 record.
