Celtics Soar To 27 12 Record Mavs Slump To 22 17

Celtics thrash Mavs 124-95 in dominant display

Celtics soar to 27-12 record, Mavs slump to 22-17

Boston's balanced scoring, suffocating defense prove too much for Dallas

The Boston Celtics put on a dominant performance on Thursday night, crushing the Dallas Mavericks 124-95 at the TD Garden. The victory extends Boston's winning streak to four games and improves their record to 27-12 on the season. Meanwhile, the Mavericks drop to 22-17 and have lost three of their last four games.

Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 37 points, while Jaylen Brown added 25 points and Marcus Smart contributed 21 points. Domantas Sabonis had a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. For the Mavericks, Luka Dončić scored a team-high 23 points, but it was not enough to overcome Boston's balanced scoring attack.

Boston's defense was also impressive, holding the Mavericks to just 39.2% shooting from the field. The Celtics also forced 15 turnovers, which they converted into 22 points. The Mavericks were without their second-leading scorer, Kristaps Porzingis, who is out with a knee injury.

The Celtics will look to continue their winning ways when they host the New York Knicks on Saturday night. The Mavericks will try to bounce back when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
